SECURITY GUARD COURSE
QUALIFICATION: Level 2 BTEC Award in Security Operations
BeSmart's Security Guard Course is accepted by the SIA for a Front Line Security Guarding Licence
At present this course is only being offered to our corporate clients. For individuals we would recommend you take the door supervisor course and get a door supervisor licence. This is because the door supervisor licence is accepted for Security Guarding and Door Supervision. You will therefore widen your options for employment with the door supervisor licence. The Security Guarding licence will only enable you to do security guarding.

DURATION: 4 days
COST: £150.00 plus VAT

ASSESSMENT: Three externally set and marked multiple choice examinations
RESULTS: 7-10 days following examinations
CERTIFICATES: 10-14 days after passing examinations

One Stop Shop
Unfortunately at present the one stop shop option for security guarding is only available for our Corporate Clients.
If you are an individual considering getting an SIA security guarding licence, beSmart would advise you to do a door supervisor course and get an SIA Door Supervisor licence. This is because with a Door Supervisor licence you can work both as a door supervisor and a security guard. You will therefore have the benefit of being able to work in two licensable areas with only one licence. This will save you money and give you greater work opportunities.
