QUALIFICATION: BIIAB/Skills for Security Maybo Physical Intervention
The Physical Intervention training course is open to individuals who either hold an SIA Front Line Security Licence, or hold a security qualification accepted by the SIA for a Front Line Security Licence, or hold the BIIAB Level 1 Award in Conflict Management
PHYSICAL INTERVENTION TRAINING COURSE DETAILS
DURATION: 1 day
COST: £100.00 plus VAT
ASSESSMENT: Trainer assessed
RESULTS: On the day
CERTIFICATE: Generally 2-3 weeks after successful completion of the course
VALIDITY: Two years. To remain certificated candidates must renew their training every two years. Refresher training
is recommeded to be done annually to ensure skills are not lost
This qualification in Physical Intervention provides a simple and effective programme in lowering the risk for the staff, and the individuals to whom they are applied.
The non-aggressive physical intervention skills enable staff to calm a situation and confidently identify the least aversive options when faced in situations that require them to protect themselves, colleagues and service users/customers.
